Relationships are a really important focus in Human Design – relationships that are respectful and empowering.
Originally, one of the big focuses for Human Design was on parents building better relationships with their children – ones in which the children were taught to love and work with their own designs. This was to be achieved through the example set by their parents of love and acceptance rather than trying to change their children. Children are not meant to be little mini-me’s. Instead they are meant to be loved for their own authentic design.
How does this all relate to business relationships?
The fact is that in business there are many relationships we need to develop.
There is:
The relationship with the customer or client.
The relationships with suppliers.
The relationships with employees.
The relationships with partners.
Although it is not possible to know the design of everyone you build a relationship with, (although that would be my dream for creating a more tolerant and kind world!), knowing that everyone has a different design to you and a different expression of their design to everyone else can help!
For myself, knowing the designs of my clients enables me to support them more completely. I can easily see the ways in which they learn the best, how they like to relate to others and what strengths they have, amongst other things.
Using this information to create more depth to the way in which I connect with clients has been something that I have now been doing since early 2021.
It has changed the ways in which I go about doing everything in my business – for the better.
How could you use Human Design to improve relationships within your business?
I would start by finding out the designs of all of the people who work in your business, if you have a small team. You can also look at the dynamics that exist between everyone so that each person can find the best way to communicate with someone else, as well as the ways in which your energy is interacting with someone else.
As the business owner, you can see how to better utilise the special talents of each person for the benefit of all. It is probably not very helpful to have a 1/3 Profile as the person who is meant to build strong communities among clients, while I would definitely have a 4/6 doing that! Let the 1/3 work in the background building a depth of information and better systems.
When we recognise the individual uniqueness of each person and give them the space to blossom into their true gifts – everyone benefits!
